Welcome! I’m Dr. Key, a Doctorate-level Licensed Clinical therapist and the founder of Key to Change Counseling Services, Corp.—a Christian-based group practice committed to holistic, culturally responsive, and clinically excellent care.
I founded Key to Change in 2014, shortly after the birth of my third child. What began as a small, faith-fueled vision has grown into a thriving practice that is still intentionally small enough to maintain meaningful one-on-one connection, but expansive enough to meet the evolving needs of the communities we serve. I lead with a servant’s heart, always rooted in compassion, excellence, and purpose. I’ve built a team—affectionately known as “TeamKey”—made up of passionate, diverse, and talented therapists who reflect the same vision I had when I started this journey: to bring healing, hope, and transformation, one session at a time.
My academic path started at Monmouth University, where I earned both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. It was during college that I was invited to a Christian church service that changed the course of my life. That pivotal moment shaped not only my personal faith but also how I show up professionally. I later earned my Doctorate from the University of Southern California and went on to earn my Clinical Supervisor certification from Rutgers University. Currently, I am a student at Louisiana State University where I am actively pursuing a second Master’s degree in Business Administration. Since 2021, I’ve had the privilege of returning to Monmouth University—this time as an adjunct Professor—where I mentor and teach future therapists at both the Undergraduate and Graduate level.
In therapy, I prioritize connection and authenticity. I believe the therapeutic relationship is the cornerstone of healing. My style is grounded, relatable, and direct, with a strong emphasis on collaboration and empowerment. I utilize a range of evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness-based interventions, always tailored to each client’s individual goals and values.
As a Christian counselor, my work is deeply anchored in faith, and I am always open to incorporating spiritual guidance for clients who desire it. However, I also value inclusivity and honor where each client is in their own journey—whether or not spirituality is part of it.
Clients can expect a welcoming, affirming, and goal-oriented space where they feel seen, supported, and challenged to grow into the best version of themselves. Whether you are navigating anxiety, grief, burnout, relationship challenges, or major life transitions, I’m here to walk alongside you with wisdom, empathy, and hope.
At Key2, we believe healing is possible—and we’re honored to be part of your journey.
